This is a selected list of some interesting and long-standing Fourth of July events that are scheduled for 2008.

America's 2008 Independence Day Parade in Washington, D.C. should be a blast! Constitution Avenue 7th Street in Washington D.C. form the setting for this National Parade.

Sunoco Welcome America! Once again, Philadelphia is throwing a July 4th celebration like no other—a week-long celebration full of fun, music, food, entertainment and, of course, fireworks. Come party with us and celebrate America’s birthday in America’s birthplace

Don't miss the Macy's 33nd Annual Fourth of July fireworks. The skies above the Big Apple will be lighted by some of the most amazing fireworks ever viewed this Independence Day.

Celebrating the 4th of July in Seward, Alaska, the population of Seward swells from about 2,500 people to over 30,000. Main Street is completely blocked off to traffic and the streets fill with people. Most come to run in or watch the Mount Marathon Race, while some come just to enjoy some of the most beautiful scenery in the world and take part in the activities.

Boston's Firework Celebration,  is the premier Independence Day celebration in the nation. Each year, since its inception, hundreds of thousands of people come from all over the country to the banks of the Charles River to celebrate America's birthday. The annual Fourth of July celebration has become so popular that approximately 40 percent of the event’s live audience now comes from outside New England!

Boston Harborfest 2008 is a seven-day Fourth of July celebration showcasing the colonial and maritime heritage of the cradle of the American Revolution: Historic Boston.
